I purchased this product after watching a Korean YouTuber’s review of the nail clippers.
Before I saw this video, I thought 7*7(three-seven) was the best and was using it.
However, the Mr.Green product, which I often see on AliExpress, was selected as the best nail clipper among the subjects for the review.
I had only seen this product on AliExpress often but had never purchased this company’s product, so I bought one right away.
Price
As mentioned earlier, the purchase was made through Aliexpress.
There was a link to Coupang(Korean Amazon) in the video, so I tried to order from there, but there was a link to a different product with the product in the video, so I purchased it from Aliexpress.
The Mr.Green nail clipper covered with a white plastic case in the video is the Mr-1116 model or the Mr-1117 model, and the only difference is in size, with the former being medium size and the latter being large size.
While trying to figure out which of the two models was used in the video, I became convinced that it was Mr-1117 after seeing that the weight of the product measured in the video was 64 grams.
According to the specs, the large size model weighs 65 grams and the medium size weighs 36 grams, which is quite a difference in weight.
The large model is quite expensive, but the medium model is sold for about $2.74 at the corner of Choice Day Mega on Aliexpress, so if you want to buy a medium model, it would be much cheaper to buy it there.
Delivery
In the case of this product, AliExpress’ 5-day shipping was applied, so it arrived in South Korea within 3 days of ordering.
I ordered it on the 21st, cleared customs in South Korea on the 23rd, and arrived on the 24th.
Not all 5-day shipping items arrive this quickly and I guess I just got lucky.
Unboxing
When I opened Aliexpress’ unique thin plastic bag package, I found a cylindrical box wrapped in air bubble wrap.
It comes packaged in a cylindrical box made of paper.
Among the brands on Aliexpress, it seems to be a high-end(?) brand.
Usually, when you order something from Aliexpress, stuff comes out right away from the parcel bag as if you purchased a bulk product.

Also, there is a file on the back of the nail clipper that can be used to file fingernails or toenails, and this is a specially processed (rust-proof) stainless steel material.
When I opened the long side of the cylindrical box, the nail clipper was revealed.
If you purchase the Plus model, a Nano Glass File that can file fingernails or toenails is also included.
However, as I will explain later, there is a small file on the back of the product, so I did not purchase the Plus version.
Mr.Green’s First Impressions
Although it is not the same model as this, Mr.Green’s products were often seen on the Aliexpress Choice Day Mega corner, so I expected that the quality would not be good, but it turned out to be a fairly well-made product.
The top part is made of matte metal, which looks good because it doesn’t attract fingerprints easily.
The white plastic part functions to prevent the nails from flying around when cutting them.
Although it didn’t seem very useful, there was also a hook on which you could hang something.
The plastic part is removable, but if you remove the plastic, it will look very odd.
Since it seems to be a product that was originally designed to be used with plastic, it is recommended to use it.
On the back, there is a small file covered in blue vinyl.
Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be anything special.
Even though this product was first opened, there were some dents and scratches on the back of the upper handle(?).
The top surface visible from the outside is smooth without any scratches, and there are no functional problems at all, so I tend to skip it.
If you are extremely sensitive to scratches like this, I recommend you think about this…
This is a photo of the blade taken with a macro camera.
As will be explained later, the main feature of this product is that when fingernails or toenails are cut with this, the cross-section of the nail is not rough and is very smooth.
I was curious to see if there was any special structure or treatment on the blade, so I took a picture, but I couldn’t see anything special.
Review
The nails are not rough and cut smoothly.
In the photo above, the one on the left is Mr. Green, and the one on the right was cut with a regular nail clipper. If you look at the cross-section of the nail, the left side is smooth, but on the right side, you can see that the cross-section is rough with white parts.
Just in case, I tried using a 7*7 product at home other than the one used in the photo above, but the cross-section was still rough.
The Mr.Green product has a matte-coated handle, giving it a sense of luxury.
It doesn’t leave fingerprints, and is quite heavy, giving it a heavy taste.
When I cut my fingernails or toenails, it sounds like they are cut with a ‘tuk-tuk’ sound rather than a ‘tik-tik’ sound, so it seems to cut better..?
When I first opened it, I was almost disappointed because it had some scratches, but I am satisfied because the cut nails are smooth.
Normally, when I cut my nails, the cross-section becomes rough and it hurts a lot when I scratch the skin, but after cutting with this, it doesn’t hurt when I scratch.
And my fingernails no longer ruin my sweaters in winter.
Unless a ground-breaking nail clipper comes out soon, I want to continue to use this product.
